The Austin Food + Wine Festival announced its lineup today and several San Antonio chefs are ready to give the festival some Alamo City flavor.

Among the San Antonio chefs participating in opening event, the Taste of Texas, on April 24 are:  Diego Galicia and Rico Torres of Mixtli, Steven McHugh of Cured and Quealy Watson of Hot Joy.

The next day’s signature event, Rock Your Taco, includes Jason Dady of Tre Trattoria, Two Bros BBQ Market, The Duk Truck, BD Ice House and the soon-to-open Tre Enoteca and Shuck Shack, as one of more than a dozen chefs vying to create the best taco of the evening.

Dady also will cook in the pre-Festival Feast Under the Stars, a separate five-course event on April 23. That dinner requires a separate ticket.
