Orange Spain has modernized its access and transmission network in the northern Spanish region of Galicia and launched 4G services in the major tourist resorts in time for the summer season. The deployment has seen the operator invest around EUR 90 million in the region, allowing users to download at 4G speeds in La Coruna, Vigo, Orense, Santiago de Compostela and Ferrol, and shortly in Pontevedra, Lugo and Naron. The operator is expecting a 75% increase in traffic over the summer months.
