Angela June Iott Galicia, 28, of High Point, N.C. died Thursday at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Born Nov.17, 1984, in Monroe, Mich., she is a daughter of Pat and Sue Iott of High Point.

Angela is a 2003 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Mich., and a 2006 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis, Minn.

She pursued her career as a chef at Nobles Restaurant in High Point and at the Stratford Retirement Community. She enjoyed gardening and time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Angela is survived by her husband, Ovidio Galicia, and son Byron Ovidio Galicia, both of the home. Also surviving are two sisters, Amy Iott Holdren and husband Robert of High Point, and Jennifer Iott Doner and husband Brian of Greensboro; brother Patrick O. Iott II of High Point; two nieces, Hannah and Lilly Sue; and a nephew, Dillon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas P. Norris celebrant. Entombment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, with a Scripture Service at 6:00 pm and on Monday at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
