A limited-edition Christmas variant from the Spanish Estrella beer brand is going on sale in the UK for the first time.
Estrella Navidad is a 5.5% abv, 100% malt beer made from hops grown at the company’s Hijos de Rivera brewery in Galicia. The 330ml bottles (rsp: £2.99), available to on and off-trades, feature a Father Christmas label with easy-open cap and heat-sensitive panel that indicates the perfect temperature for drinking.
World beers are outperforming lager overall, and are up 8.8% by value against 4.1% growth in total lager [Nielsen 52w/e 18 August]. l Bath ales is this month rolling out its limited-edition 5% abv Festivity beer, which has a hint of rum and vanilla.
