TRENTON – A Trenton man turned himself in on aggravated assault charges after police issued a warrant for in an East Ward stabbing, police said.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a stabbing on the 200 block of Morris Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, Varn said.

Police arrived at the scene on a report of a stabbing in progress, but found no one there when they arrived. About 20 minutes later, a call from St. Francis Medical Center alerted police to a stabbing victim being treated there, Varn said.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was stabbed in the right side of his chest. The man named Galicia as his attacker and a warrant was issued, Varn said.

Galicia’s bail was set at $100,000, according to police records.
