Elderly farmer hunted for senseless killing

Pandan police personnel are hunting a 60-year old farmer who stabbed to death a teener from Parañaue for still unknown reason the other Saturday in barangay Cobo.
Romeo Salvidar reportedly fled towards the seashore after killing Renz Timothy Luistro, 19, a native of Sucat, Parañaque, and temporarily staying at Cobo with his live-in partner, Rima Galicia, with whom he had two young children.
Investigation conducted by the police disclosed that at 4 P.M. of Sept. 12 while Luistro and Galicia were having a drinking session with their female friends at the house of Susana Bien, the suspect passed by in front of said house. After a few minutes, Salvidar came back armed with a bladed weapon and, without apparent reason, suddenly stabbed the victim on the chest before escaping to the seashore. The victim was immediately brought to Pandan District Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Rafael Mariano. The police is now preparing the appropriate criminal charge is now being prepared against the suspect for filing before the proper court.
