“In my case, they beat me, something I never imagined could happen to me in the United States”, Galicia told EFE, adding that Trump’s security personnel used violence “because they know that their boss approves of it”.

The lawsuit was filed by Galicia, Florencia Tejeda Perez, Gonzalo Cruz Franco, Johnny Garcia and Miguel Villalobos. “Bringing crime. They’re rapists”.

When one demonstrator tried to retrieve a sign from behind what appears to be the head of Trump’s security, the guard swung back, hitting protester Efrain Galicia in the head.

The incident occurred just outside Trump Tower, where the billionaire developer had called a press conference to discuss his presidential bid.

The lawsuit alleges that during a protest on September 3, Trump’s security guards violently assaulted the group of activists, stole their property and barred them from their right to protest.

The candidate’s guards had previously harassed the Mexican protesters at two other similar demonstrations in July and August, the suit says.

“Plaintiffs were attacked and their property destroyed for the express objective of interfering with their political speech while they were lawfully and peacefully assembled on the public sidewalk in front of the headquarters of Donald J. Trump for America, Inc.”, the complaint stated.

Following the scuffle, Trump’s campaign said the security guard was “jumped from behind” and indicated it may file charges against the protesters.
