Outside Trump Tower: mobs, fights and protesters
Filed Under EN
With Donald Trump running for president, Trump Tower is becoming a circus.
Yesterday, a group of protesters – some dressed as members of the Ku Klux Klan — set up outside the building with a banner that read: “Trump: Make America Racist Again.” Soon after, one of Trump’s top security guards hit a protester in the face.
A video shows the guard ripping down the blue sign outside a press conference on Trump’s pledge of loyalty to the Republican Party, according to the New York Daily News.
Demonstrator Efrain Galicia ran after Keith Schiller – Trump’s director of security and longtime bodyguard — and tried to take the banner back, grabbing the guard from behind. Schiller immediately turned around and smacked Galicia in the face.
“The video in a sense speaks for itself,” attorney Benjamin Dictor told the Daily News. “The actions were just exceedingly aggressive especially given the fact that demonstrators were on a public sidewalk speaking out about issues of public concern.”
