trump_protestA member of Donald Trump’s security team got into a scuffle with a protester Thursday, when activists gathered outside Trump Tower to protest the candidates stance on immigration.

The altercation happened while the Republican presidential candidate signed a GOP loyalty pledge promising that he won’t seek the nomination of any other party, or as an independent, should he be defeated in next year’s primaries.

The protestor, Efraín Galicia held up a large blue sign reading “Trump: Make America Racist Again.” A fight ensued when the sign was ripped in half prompting Galicia to chase down and grab the security guard. Galicia was then struck in the face for his efforts, having to be restrained as the security guard disappeared into Trump Tower, The New York Times reports.

“They pushed me around,” Galicia told the New York Post. “We brought all our banners. We know the law. We know we can protest along the sidewalk.” The incident reminded Galicia of when the hotel tycoon booted Latino reporter Jorge Ramos from a press conference last month.

“It’s like the way his boss behaves: pushing out Ramos from Univision,” Galicia said. “These guys, his servants, they think they can do the same thing.”
