任命副校不應考量政治
其實，以上這四點，亦是對港大校委會的一個警惕。他們眼前就已經有一位陳文敏。他經過獨立聘請過程後被一眾德高望重人士一致推薦為最適合做其中一位副校長的人選。既然是賢能之士，他對管理大學以外的事有任何看法根本就不應該因外來政治勢力及觀點而影響他的任命。如果陳最終不被任命（《星島日報》已經引述消息人士說陳會因被視為「反政府人士」而不被任命），損失的其實是香港大學。再者，因為陳文敏的國際聲譽已經是甚高，他在國際學術界所受的推崇就只會令港大對他的遺棄看來更丟架。而如果是這樣，我雖然有信心大家不會需要等到陳文敏百年歸老才見到港大後悔的一天，但到港大後悔時，陳可能已經在懂得珍惜他的環境下大展拳腳，未必再有時間做港大高層。港大校委會在星期二晚宣佈，他們會在下個月就任命副校長的事宜作出決定。港大會否在這決定上蒙受損失及因而丟架，就要看校委會成員的腰骨（還是膝頭或腎？）及良知了。註：以上只代表筆者的個人意見，並不代表他所屬律師行的意見。任建峰執業律師
