Rudy Aroldo Pablo Lopez, 26, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of first-degree burglary. He is accused of shooting Angelica Cortes Barrios, 31, and Angel Galicia Sanchez, 30, who were taken to Duke University Medical Center.

SANFORD – Police have made an arrest today in connection to the Thursday shooting that left two people injured.
Rudy Aroldo Pablo Lopez, 26, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of first-degree burglary. He is accused of shooting Angelica Cortes Barrios, 31, and Angel Galicia Sanchez, 30, who were taken to Duke University Medical Center.
Their conditions have been upgraded from critical to serious.
Lopez is accused of breaking into the residence on the 600 block of Scott Avenue at about 5:25 a.m.
Police say the incident was domestic. It remains under investigation.
