Sanford police have arrested and charged 26-year-old Rudy Lopez with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of first-degree burglary.
Police said Lopez broke into a home in the 600 block of Scott Avenue on Thursday morning and shot 31-year-old Angelica Barrios and 30-year-old Angel Galicia Sanchez.
Both victims were taken to Duke Medical Center where they were last listed in serious condition.
Police said the shooting was a domestic-related incident.
Lopez is being held in the Lee County Jail under a $1 million bond.
