As the summer sun continues to shine, you may feel you fancy a white with punch, character and personality to enjoy in this lovely hot sun.
Step forward one of my favourites, a full-flavoured dry white from Galicia in north-western Spain, which is probably better known for its Albarinho whites. This tasty white seems bolder, riper, and more intriguing, with an incredible combination of ripe, aromatic, apricot and melon fruit, blended in with a zesty, almost sea-salty, citrus tang.
This is the perfect wine to accompany a summery salmon dish. Crisp and refreshing, yet with enough body, and oomph to cope with the rich, oily fish, it’s one of the most versatile whites I know and a staple in my fridge.
