Bookmark and ShareAt the Assen circuit today Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider Jorge Navarro rode well with his Honda getting the most potential from his bike, allowing him to set a best time of 1’41.618 in qualifying at the legendary Dutch track, putting him on the front row.

Navarro was able to link up the slow and fast corners well, especially in the last sector, to record a best lap which left him just 0.335s off the pole-setter, Enea Bastianini. His teammate, Fabio Quartararo, lapped with good pace and concluded just 0.528s off the Italian.

In the morning both riders used the third practice session to finish preparing their bikes, in order to have the best set-up for a good qualifying in the afternoon. And, as Quartararo predicted yesterday, almost all the riders rode faster today than yesterday. In FP3 the Frenchman led from the half-way point almost until the end of the session. In the last laps, his teammate Jorge Navarro was one of three riders to breach the 1’42 mark, stopping the clock at 1’41.901; a lap which put him third behind the more experienced pair of Kent and Fenati.

The Estrella Galicia 0.0 pair will be back on their Hondas on Saturday morning at 11am for the eighth race of the year.
