Pescanova shareholders have urged a higher stake in ‘Nueva Pescanova’, the new company emerging after the restructuring, La Voz de Galicia reports.

On Tuesday, the company’s board demanded an increase of the shareholders’ stake to 20% in Nueva Pescanova, from the 5% stake proposed by the company’s creditor banks.

The move would put between €7 and 8 million into the company, a sum that would not involve a major effort to banks, the board said, considering the banks’ proposal of an average haircut of €1 billion in the company’s debt.
