2015 Jerez Moto3 Qualifying Results
Following an intense battle with Danny Kent during 2015 Jerez Moto3 qualifying, Fabio Quartararo earned his debut pole in the series.
The Estrella Galicia 0,0 pilot of French took his maiden pole with a 1:46.791 lap around the 2.75-mile circuit, beating Leopard Racing Honda’s Kent to the line by 0.120 of a second. Claiming the final front-row Moto3 qualifying position was KTM Red Bull Ajo’s Miguel Oliveira, who finished 0.193 of a second back.
Oliveira’s teammate Brad Binder qualified fourth on top of the second row, finishing 0.389 of a second behind Quartararo. Row two will be completed by Schedl GP Racing KTM’s Phillip Oettl and Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Karel Hanika, who suffered a hectic highside near the end of qualifying that had him in the medical center with elbow pain.
Gresini Racing Team Moto3’s Enea Bastianini qualified seventh, ahead of compatriots Romano Fenati and Niccolo Antonelli, who make it an all-Italian third row, with Quartararo’s teammate Jorge Navarro completing the top 10.
