Scott Redding’s Marc VDS run-Honda RC213V will feature backing from Estrella Galicia, best known in racing as title sponsor of Moto3 championship leader Alex Marquez’s Honda team.

As well as Redding’s MotoGP machine, the Spanish beer company will also sponsor Marc VDS in Moto2 next year and continue with Monlau in Moto3.

Indeed, the shared sponsorship will be the most visible sign of a new agreement between Emilio Alzamora’s Monlau team (currently Marquez and Alex Rins in Moto3) and Marc VDS.

Marc VDS team manager Michael Bartholemy told motogp.com: “We have a three year plan together. So we can plan for the long-term which is important in racing.

“One of the best teams maybe in the paddock in Moto2, with one of the best teams in Moto3 we have joined together, plus a very good team in the Spanish championship. So we hope this will provide some fruit in the forthcoming years.”

Here is Redding, pictured with Moto2 champion Esteve Rabat during the presentation at Valencia on Friday, with the livery he is set to use for next week’s debut RC213V test at Valencia.

Alex Marquez is already confirmed as moving from Monlau to Marc VDS in Moto2 next season, alongside Rabat. Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Navarro will form the new Estrella Galicia Honda (Monlau) Moto3 line-up.
