Samantha Lepardo recorded the hat trick as New Dorp defeated host CSI/McCown, 6-3, Sunday in a PSAL soccer contest.
New Dorp controlled the midfield throughout the duration of the match, as Diana Galicia, Maria Palderas and Itzel Sanchez maintained possession for the Central Cougars.
CSI/McCown made things interesting for New Dorp in the second half of action as it scored three goals, two from Megan Cameron penalty kicks and one from Ivonne Palafox.
But the ND defense of Ashley Kenny and Diana Posadas were able to halt the scoring right there.
The Central Cougars’ other tallies came from Jessica Kenny, who collected two, and Najet Hessan. Hebah Sahibzada assisted on two goals while Jamie Daluise assisted on another.
New Dorp returns to action Tuesday for another PSAL match-up against MSIT.
