The who, who lives in northwest Ocala, told Deputy Eduardo Bustamante-Munt that she was asleep when she felt something rubbing her leg, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. Then, she said, she felt something rubbing against her private area. The woman said she woke up the man inside her tent.

She grabbed her knife, and he ran, leaving his slippers outside the tent.

The woman told the deputy she had seen the man in the area and pointed to where the suspect lived.

The deputy went to that location in the 6600 block of Northwest 60th Court and found Edwin Herrera-Galicia, according to the report. The woman identified Herrera-Galicia as the man who touched her.

He told deputies he went to the woman’s tent, stood by it and had intentions of having sex with her, the report states. He said he entered the tent and touched the woman’s foot, then worked his way up her leg. Then, he said, she chased him out.

He denied touching the woman’s private area and apologized for what he did, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Herrera-Galicia was arrested on the charge of burglary with assault and battery.
