ALEDO – Paco Galicia’s hat trick led Fort Worth Trimble Tech past Stephenville 6-1 in the area round of the 4A boys soccer playoffs at Bearcat Stadium Friday night.

Stephenville couldn’t win the 50-50 balls in the middle of the field, and couldn’t contain Galicia or Saldivar Garcia, who scored twice for Trimble Tech.

The Yellow Jackets’ only goal came with 10 minutes left, after all of Trimble Tech’s scoring. Brady Alford scored it in the 70th minute.

The loss came on the heels of a 1-0 victory over Crowley in the bi-district round. Stephenville was playing in its second straight area playoff after winning a sectional title and reaching the regional quarterfinals last season.

Trimble Tech meets another Fort Worth Northside in the sectional round. Northside eliminated Granbury, 5-2, in its area playoff.
