Havana, Cuba, Dec 7.- The First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, met on Friday with Alberto Nuñez Feijoo, president of the autonomous government of Galicia, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
Diaz-Canel and Nuñez Feijoo verified the good state of bilateral relations and of friendship between the Galician and the Cuban peoples, and spoke about prospects to strengthen economic, commercial and cooperation bonds.
Likewise, they recalled the historic ties existing between Cuba and Galicia, a community that contributed significantly to the formation of the island’s nationality.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Francisco Montalban, Spanish ambassador to Havana, as well as other members of his delegation.
Also present, for Cuba, were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and other officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.(ACN)
