05 de diciembre de 2013, 10:32Havana, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Alberto Nuñez Feijoo, president of regional Government of Galicia, began today a visit to Cuba, where the emigration of that Spanish autonomy has left marks that prevail in Cuban culture and history.

Nuñez Feijoo, who is also the leader of People’s Party in Galicia, is the third president of this region that officially visits Cuba, following late Manuel Fraga and Emilio Perez Touriño.

Nuñez will attend today the launch of various books, particularly one related to Fidel Castro’s ties with Galicia and another that tackles Manuel Fraga’s relationship with Cuba.

“Galicia en Cuba”, is also a book that will be launched in this occasion.

Nuñez will take part of a bilateral business forum and will hold a meeting with the Association of Spanish Businesspeople in Cuba.

During his visit, Feijoo will meet Galician community in Cuba, made up by more than 30 associations.

Galicia is located northern at Iberian peninsula and includes provinces of La Coruña, Lugo, Orense and Pontevedra, its capital city is Santiago de Compostela.
