KANSAS CITY – A convoy of Chiefs fans are gearing up for a road trip to Mile High for Sunday’s showdown with the Broncos and they’re even gonna let a national publication tag along.

If you’ve ever been at lot J during a Chiefs tailgate, you’ve probably seen Rob Galicia’s Chiefs bus or at least heard the blaring sound system inside.

Well Saturday Galicia and a second bus are caravanning almost 40 people to Denver for the game. Galicia says this started off as nothing more than a cool idea, then they reached out to The Chiefs Kingdom.

You might remember them as Save Our Chiefs, the group that was flying anti-Pioli banners over Arrowhead last season.

Chiefs Kingdom put them in touch with ESPN The Magazine, who is going to make the 600 mile trek to Denver in Galicia’s bus.

“We were happy just to have the Chiefs Kingdom just help us get Chiefs fans together. Next thing you know ESPN the Magazine wants to jump on the bus with us. There’s one thing to do an interview, but jump on the bus and do the road trip with us. I might have to comb my hair that day,” says Galicia.

Their tailgate location is fantastic. It’s over at Santos Muffler Shop on 1940 Federal Boulevard, which is roughly an 800 foot walk to Sports Authority Field and of course they’re bringing a few smokers to cook up some Kansas City BBQ.
