FERNDALE – A reputed Latin Kings gang member has been charged with a felony after deputies say he spray-painted graffiti on medical facility and apartment complex in Ferndale.
Michael Galicia, 19, of Harris, and a 15-year-old relative are accused of causing several thousand dollars in damage to the Ferndale Medical Arts Center and Handsome Freddies apartments, deputies say. Deputies were notified by a business owners and conducted interviews in the neighborhood.
“He (the officer) was able to recover the spray cans and obtain a confession from the suspect,” Sheriff Mike Schiff said.
Galicia was on “pre-trial release,” accused of June 12 burglary of a garage in Liberty.
He was taken to the Sullivan County Jail on $2,500 bail. The 15-year-old was referred to Family Court.
