A BELFAST man has drowned while trying to save his son from the sea in Spain.

The tragedy happened on Saturday afternoon at O Vilar, near Coruna, in the north western Spanish region of Galicia.
Owen O’Toole (57) saved his son, who has special needs, from a strong current on a the beach.
Mr O’Toole managed to get his son to safety but was taken back out and was soon overwhelmed.
His body was washed up on the beach a short time later.
ACTOR ARRESTED IN PARKING ROW
LOS Angeles police say Curb Your Enthusiasm actor and comedian Jeff Garlin has been arrested for vandalism after a dispute over a parking space.
The 51-year-old actor was arrested for allegedly smashing the windows of the other person’s car.
Garlin played Larry David’s friend and manager on Curb Your Enthusiasm and was the show’s co-executive producer.
MAN HELD IN MURDER PROBE
A MAN in his 40s has been arrested in the investigation in to the murder of Polish man Bogdan Michalkiawicz in Donegal last month.
Michalkiawicz (41) was found by his brother Tomaz at his flat at Letterkenny, Co Donegal, on May 15.
Gardai said he had suffered a “brutal and horrific” death.
