The European Investment bank has launched a co-financing programme of priority investments within the scope of the 2007-13 Regional Operating Programme of Galicia, a convergence region in Spain. The proposed EIB finance reaches EUR 120 million. In addition to telecoms, the sectors covered by the project are credit lines, transport, energy, services, industry, and urban infrastructure.
The project seeks to promote and boost the regional economy, increase the competitiveness of the productive fabric through knowledge and innovation, increase social and territorial cohesion of Galicia by improving skill levels, promote the quality of employment and social inclusion, as well as strengthen the synergy between growth and sustainable development.
