SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – A fund has been set up for victims of a deadly apartment fire in Sioux Falls.

KELO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/14F5dkP) that donations can be made at CorTrust Bank in Sioux Falls or at the Calvary Chapel.

Checks can be made payable to the “Fire Victim’s Fund.”

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says 29-year-old Sulmi Siomara Guerra Sandoval was taking care of 2 of her five children and babysitting two others Tuesday morning when fire broke on the first floor of the split-level apartment.

Guerra Sandoval lowered 3 of the children down to passersby but died trying to rescue 2-year-old Eli Galicia, who also was killed.

The surviving children all suffered smoke inhalation.
