ECC employee is new lawyer

Gene Franco I. Galicia, an employee of the Employees Compensation Commission, passed the 2012 bar examinations, which has one of the lowest passing rate in the history of the legal profession.
Supreme Court officials said out of 5,686 who took the examinations held in October last year only 949 passed, a low passing rate of 17.76 percent or about half of last year’s 32 percent.
Galicia, an alumnus of Arellano University School of Law, is the youngest son of Arturo and Georgette Galicia of Labason, Zamboanga del Norte. He is married to Leonida Marie Palacios-Galicia.
