(AGI) Bilbao – Polling stations are now open for local
elections in Galicia and the Basque Countries putting Mariano
Rajoy’s Government to the test of its first popularity rating
for its reforms. The Spanish Premier’s Party is expected to win
in Galicia while in the Basque Countries separatist movements
are forecast to record a rise in votes in the region’s first
elections since the ETA terrorist group set down their arms. .
