Voters in the Spanish region of Galicia go to the polls this weekend – amid a growing expectation that Spain will soon ask for a rescue deal from the Eurozone.

The election is a key test for the ruling centre-right Popular Party which has brought in a raft of austerity measures.

The Spanish Government was keen to avoid asking for a bailout before the elections.
