Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borissov said on August 16 that Bulgarian law enforcement agencies were aware of the impeding drug bust on a Bulgarian-flagged cargo ship in Spanish waters.

MADRID - Spanish police say they have arrested 31 people after seizing three tons of cocaine brought from South America on a merchant ship that was caught off the southern coast.
Police unloaded about 100 packages of the drug from the SV Nikolay vessel Wednesday in the southern Atlantic port of Cadiz. A statement said the ship was boarded on Monday about 80 kilometres (50 miles) off the coast of Cadiz.
