Vigo, Spain — Alumisel, a company devoted to the recovery of metals, is currently raising the biggest and most modern metal recycling plant in Galicia and the first of its kind in Spain. The new facilities, which involve an investment of €5,5m have an authomatised line for metal classification.

The new plant will be located in O Porriño, an exed to the current facilities of the company, and will enjoy the most advanced technologies in the sector for the treatment of metallic waste materials. The new plant is due to be fully operational in September of this same year.

With this investment, Aumisel increases its productive capacity in a 70 percent. But the leap is even bigger from a qualitative point of view as the technology incorporated in the new processing plant allows for the markets best tuned up classification existing.

“It is about an strategig investment for the company, which will make it possible to open to new niche markets, allowing us to offer a material ready to use directly to the final client. In Alumisel we bet for innovation in the development of new systems which allow us to improve our offer and position ourselves in the vanguard of the sector”, explains Manuel Nogueira, General Director of Alumisel.

With a market share of 7,2 percent, Alumisel is one of the three biggest companies in the sector in Spain and the leader in Galicia. The company had a turnover of €96,5 millions in 2011, 11,35 percent more than in 2010.
