The afternoon session was dry but windy after the morning run-out had taken place on a wet track.

Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider Miguel Oliveira set a fastest lap of a minute 48.497 seconds on his Suter Honda, 0.014 quicker than Sandro Cortese (Red Bull KTM Ajo) on the KTM.

Vinales (Blusens Avintia) was fourth on the FTR Honda behind Luis Salom (RW Racing GP, Kalex KTM).

Briton Danny Kent was seventh.

Morning session

Spaniard Maverick Vinales led a wet opening practice for the Moto3 weekend at Estoril.

The sun was out, but the track remained damp as Vinales (Blusens Avintia) set a quickest effort of a minute 56.138 seconds on his FTR Honda.

Local rider Miguel Oliveira (Estrella Galicia 0,0) was second, 0.376s behind the pace.

Briton Danny Kent was fifth behind two other Spaniards in Alberto Moncayo and Adrian Martin.
