2 This tapas bar encourages diners to eat their churros as an
accompaniment to Tarta de Santiago, a soft almond cake from Galicia, but they
are definitely good enough to be enjoyed in their own right too. Sprinkled in
cinnamon and served with Spanish desayuno chocolate, which is notoriously thick
and rich, they are the perfect decadent treat.

3 The desserts at Blue Legume were such a hit in Stoke
Newington that they expanded to Islington. Churros are the stars of menu. These
huge golden rings are too big for the plate and are covered in plenty of fresh
cinnamon. Hot dipping chocolate is served on the side.

4 Leading the “churros revolution in the UK”, this small family
business were runners-up at the British Street Food Awards 2011. Churros from
here are not too greasy and of course served with all the trimmings: cinnamon,
sugar and Spanish gourmet Valor chocolate.
